Calendula is one of the most well-known and versatile herbs in Western Herbal Medicine. Calendula flowers have a sticky resin that contains anti-inflammatory properties This soothing salve is created with hand-picked and dried calendula flowers from my own organic garden and is infused into polyphenol and enzyme-rich extra virgin olive oil and mixed with beautiful skin-protective beeswax. A little of this golden calendula salve goes a long way!

Makes a wonderful moisturizer for after the garden, or for winter skin for its soothing and healing properties for dry and cracked skin.

• The flowers are noted as antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and are often used for bruises, burns, sores, ulcers, skin irritations, psoriasis, eczema, stretch marks, scars, cuts, scrapes, bug bites, and stings.
• Great for red and inflamed skin including minor burns and sunburn.
• Calendula is known as one of the best herbal allies for nourishing the lymphatic system. It is great for use on swollen glands. It works to stimulate lymphatic drainage and move congestion out of the body.
• Calendula is wonderful for babies being that it is potent as well as soothing and gentle. It is often used for cradle cap, diaper rash, and many other skin irritations as well as for breastfeeding mothers who have sore and chapped nipples.
• Calendula is often used to help prevent the development of radiodermatitis for those undergoing radiation treatments.
• Calendula can also be beneficial for use on shingles for relief of skin inflammation, pain, and redness.
